Savaserbian Language Revival

Savaserbian, also known as Old Serbian, is an ancient Slavic language that was spoken in the region of Savasia, an area that roughly corresponds to present-day Serbia and parts of neighboring countries. The language was used in the medieval Kingdom of Serbia and was the official language of the Serbian Church and state until the 14th century. However, with the Ottoman conquest of Serbia in the 15th century, Savaserbian began to decline in usage and was eventually replaced by other Slavic languages.

Rediscovery of Savaserbian

In recent years, there has been a growing interest in the revival of Savaserbian as a way to preserve the linguistic and cultural heritage of the Serbian people.
